For the purposes of this Directive, “cable retransmission” means the simultaneous, unaltered and unabridged retransmission by a cable or microwave system for reception by the public of an initial transmission from another Member State, by wire or over the air, including that by satellite, of television or radio programmes intended for reception by the public, regardless of how the operator of a cable retransmission service obtains the programme-carrying signals from the broadcasting organisation for the purpose of retransmission.

Article 10
Review
1. By 7 June 2025, the Commission shall carry out a review of this Directive and present a report on the main findings to the European Parliament, the council and the European Economic and Social Committee. The report shall be published and made available to the public on the website of the Commission.
2. Member States shall provide the Commission, in a timely manner, with the relevant and necessary information for the preparation of the report referred to in paragraph 1.
